Community service

We have a busy series of events coming up, which is wonderful. Jeff is really representing BikeWorks Racing at the two-day event on the 24-25 April. You can still pledge at his site!!! I donated a "Ride Around Town" to some youngins at a charity auction. It brought in some $. I was hoping to do a massive bike safety seminar at the school now that the kids are going for the bikes(Spring?). It will be for 3-5 graders and I was thinking about April 26 at 12:30. I know this is not a good time of day, but it has to be during school. I'll clear more details with the committee. Bottles to the attendees will be nice.

By the the way, the bottles are fantastic! Come by to collect. Jeff, can you take a bunch to Jordan at the CCTT? Thanks Ed for your help creating set-up! Everyone seems to really have a hand in this team. It is for that reason that it's such a special team.

  1. That's that. Also, I was wondering if there is any interest in a sorta hard, yet fun ride tomorrow(Sunday) @ 11. Thinking about 2 hours. Most of the BWR team is either at the CC TT or up at Tyson's Corner Crit. Renegades to the rescue? Here was the workout I was thinking about, depending on ride size. We divide into teams and play for the KOM points in the park and play attack/counter attack. Who's in?

  6. Gents,

Jeff is seemingly putting the finishing touches on his fund drive for the vets. It's not too late to get into the fun. Great work Jeff!

This Saturday is the open house for Morten's BMW. It's from 10-2ish, but we only need to go and make some friends, get some grub, and head out for a warm-up for Sunday's ride. I'm working on a meeting time. If there are time preferences, e-mail me soon. This is a great chance to meet some of the people supporting our habit.

  7. Would we be riding up there or driving up there? I'm game either way. I think earlier is better rather than later in terms of 10-2. Maybe be up there at 1030, hang out for 30 minutes or so and then get on with a ride of an hour or so to get the legs moving.

  8. OK Team, Let's meet at the shop at 9:45 and cruise up to Morten's. We can hang out at the BWR tent that Mike is setting up, complete with our banner. Then we can come home from the park whenever individuals need. I need to be home at 11:50(wife has a charity volleyball event at UMW)
