jeff's training

Still doing the occasional ride on the MT bike, but with out any training goal insight I some times find it hard to stay motivated. Getting back to my peek fitness will be a challenge do to the 20lbs I put on during my recovery. On a positive note I have got back on track with my core work out as well as adding some of the Lance Armstrong strength training to my program. Reading about Steve’s determination as he continues to push forward has helped keep me focused on my recovery. I should get my Road bike back this week, so I hoping to hook up with some of the BWR boys soon.

  4. Yesterday, I picked my Road bike up from Mr DRE,and I could not wait to take my first spin on the skinning tires since my fall. the ride revealed what I had expected, my fitness needs a make over and I have a lot of work to do.The problem is I need some help with a general direction, should I tempo, MT, LE, PE1 ?
Bill could you provide me with a direction to head in for a easy injury free come back?

  5. I'd love to help.I'll post something up about that soon. First, anything goes for now. Use the anger to fuel the most amazing comeback ever(next to mine last year). It really helps keep the focus on sub 20 degree PE1 rides!

  6. yesterday, 1 3/4 hr at high E, on the road bike
total distance 30 miles, I can really feel how the down time to recover has affected my ridding. I can't seem to to find the right gear,I'm not as smooth on the down hill and struggle on the up hill. At this point it's game on.Training with the purpose of regaining my fitness to peak performance.

  8. Saturday, started with a nice warm up ride with Savannah, 1hr at low E, Next two 20 min efforts at tempo, I'm trying to get a base line to see how much fitness I have lost with out going to hard to soon. after comparing HR vs power, it looks like I'm as strong as I was in March , So I’m pretty happy with the results because I feel my power will come back fast, but the weight is what will take time to get under control. Now I need to get some focus on Cal. intake vs out. Here we go ITs On!!!
