What's Happening Around Your Blog.?!

There are three things on the table right now. One, how did everyone get so strong this year!?. Two, what's up with Team Training Camp 2010. At this point, we are looking at the possibility of spending several days down on the Outer Bank at 2-2-Go's "cottage"(elevator included for a nominal fee). This will take place sometime in March, but keep some dates open, 'cause this is a no-miss event(rides, food, companionship, goals, beer, 2010 schedule, hot tub, rides, beer, etc). We'll let you know as soon as all the Ducks(Corolla) are in a row.

Finally, what's going on THIS weekend for riding? It looks like a bunch more of the cold, white stuff, so let's hang loose. We need a quality E ride, as well as a Team ride. I have a great idea(see below) for an intensity ride we will all remember. So really, this was a complete waste of time because nothing was really said. Call it BWR Bureaucracy!

  1. Ride ideas for an intensity day(2 options). Option 1 has us cooped up indoors. We all try to rally at GunFixer(Ken's) garage for an indoor session that has us grouped into three teams. If one rider jumps, at least one rider for the remaining prospective teams must jump across(and verbalize all intentions). It will be set up in 10 min. blocks and we will have 5 min. recovery between blocks. KOM indoors

Option 2 came from identifying a weakness for us during last weekends KOMs. We need practice jumping across gaps to other riders and learn to recover as fast as possible and repeat. Here is a great workout. Have three riders spaced out in 100 meter intervals up the road(doing high Tempo/LT) and riders try to jump across from one rider to another so that all of the riders get up to the front(Indian runs). Visualize how that will work in your own minds and bring it to the table if no snow comes. Comments?

  3. Welcome back. Better look at the weather. Does not look good for Fri-Sun. for outside riding.

  4. I'm liking the second idea . . . I suppose I should start praying that it doesn't snow. Any chance of a team MTB/cross ride if the snow is just light enough to keep us off the roads?

  5. I am up for anything intense, I will have the garage toasty so we can get our sweat on. Sunday would be best if that fits everyone schedule.

  7. Anytime either day is good for me . . . . if we do end up riding in the snow I need to some up with something to keep the ice from my cleats, though!

  10. I talked with Ken and the roads are not good to risk around his house(and frankly, everywhere). I assume that everyone is on their own. Never thought I'd ever see my dungeon this much EVER.
